New Theory Test

A new Theory Test is expected to be introduced in April 2007. The new test is expected to include an increase in the number of questions from 35 to 50. The fee is also to increase from £21.50 to £28.50.

New Motorcycle Practical Test

A new practical motorcycle test is to be introduced in October 2008. whilst full details have yet to be published by the DSA, it is known that all tests in West Yorkshire will be conducted from either one or two 'Supercentres'. The test time allocation will increase as the test will include an off road element prior to the actual on road ride.

The off road element will include: reverse parking, slow riding exercises, avoidance exercises, two rides around a road curve layout and two braking exercises, one through a speed monitor at a minimum of 31.25mph.

Invariably, the new test is expected to be more difficult than the present test.
