Accelerated Access

A person who has obtained a Full Category A2 Restricted Licence, and who reaches the age of 21 years before the two year 33bhp restriction qualifying period, may opt to take a further test on a machine with a power output exceeding 35KW (46.6Bhp).

Should this option be exercised, then a rider does not have to undertake a further CBT or Theory Test.

However, training must be undertaken by a DSA qualified instructor who holds the relevant DAS qualification.

Upon passing the Accelerated Access test, a rider may ride any type of machine.
